OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Social Architect, Faith Leader, Musician, and Communicator are just a few words that describe Jasper Taylor. With over 10 years of experience in Higher Education, Taylor serves as the Executive Director of The Calahan Foundation a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization created to give scholarships to high school graduating seniors, provide mentoring for college students, and to meet the deep needs of the community.

Prior to his work with the Calahan Foundation, Taylor served as the Multicultural Campus Coordinator and Adjunct Instructor at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.  In his work at Olivet, he was passionate about ensuring that students of diverse backgrounds and first-generation college students received the necessary support to persist to graduation.  In addition to his work at Olivet, he has worked at several religious non-profit organizations.  Currently, Taylor serves as Executive Pastor at Greater Mt. Pleasant and St. Paul Baptist Church of Chicago, Il.

Taylor holds a BA in
Musicanda MA in Organizational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University.  He will graduate with a Master of Divinity degree from Northern Theological Seminary in June 2018. Taylor who also is a gifted singer and songwriter has written and released a single titled, “The One” (2015) and an EP titled, “Jasper: The EP” (2007) both available on iTunes.

Jasper Taylor is married to Valerie Calahan-Taylor and they have a vibrant and vivacious son, Jasper Paul Taylor II. They both strive to make a positive impact on humanity wherever they go.
